When I was eighteen, I left home to chase a dream to fly fighters in the Air Force. After school in Colorado, I headed to pilot training, ending up in the A-10 Warthog which I flew for fourteen years and multiple combat deployments. But when my time in the jet was up, I needed a new purpose in life…
That’s when I went back to the rivers and mountains that brought me so much joy before the Air Force. I started WadeOutThere, and started painting again. Starting over has been hard work, but I am doing what I love and creating art that brings myself and others back to the parts of them that keep them connected with the outdoors.
