My favorite thing is to sit down and watch it. See what it’s doing. And to see it’s pattern.
Jack Kingsborough
In this episode we WadeOutThere with Jack Kingsborough, from New Zealand. Jack moved from Australia to New Zealand to pursue a life at sea in commercial fishing, and soon found a passion for fly fishing.
Now Jack works as a ship’s engineer for months at a time, and spends his off months hiking and backpacking in New Zealand’s mountainous backcountry in search of trout and adventure. He sometimes travels twenty kilometers in a day for the chance to sight fish to one or two trophy sized fish that will give him the fight of his life.
We discuss sight fishing, fighting fish, and why Jack continues to find the solitude of his time fly fishing so precious.
You can listen to the show on the podcast player below or anywhere that you enjoy podcasts. I hope you enjoy our conversation as much as I enjoyed talking with Jack.
